Softball
Tryouts are for the 2026 Spring/Summer season. Age group is determined based on what age players will be on September 1, 2025.

Spring & Summer weekly practices.
Clutch will us CTI indoor training facility in the winter months and variety of outdoor fields in Wausau, Kronenwetter & Mosinee.
Rawlings/Easton Uniform Package
With your fee each player receives two Rawlings Jerseys Top, Batting Helmet, Custom Easton Bat Bag & a game hat.
JBA Clutch has an agreement and is a part of the advisory staff with Rawlings/Easton. Which allows our club the opportunity to get the latest gear at the best price for our players. Rawlings/Easton holds a JBA Clutch only demo day in the fall.
CTI Facility Membership
Players receives a full year membership to CTI Indoor facility which allows access to Batting Cages, Indoor Turf, Weightroom & Basketball Courts. All Clutch players are permitted to use the facilities during open times at CTI. CTI hours vary throughout the year and are dependent on facility availability. (Value of $324)
Organizational Winter Practices twice a month starting February until March
Participation is optional as many of our players are playing winter sports.
Full Time Coaching & Office Staff
JBA Clutch is owned and operated by the same company the owns the Wausau Woodchucks and Wausau Ignite Softball. We have a fulltime staff to help with all the club needs.
Team & Family Day at Wausau Woodchucks Game
Each year we invite each team & family to a Woodchucks game. The game features players announced on the field and just a fun night to be a part of the baseball family.
Season Program Cost
Roster spots are secured with a non-refundable down payment upon acceptance. We have a monthly payment plan option as well.

Player fee can be paid in full or installments
Player fee/program cost does not include travel expenses, and these expenses should be carefully considered prior to accepting a roster spot. If registering after August 1st, down payment plus first month is due upon registration.
Additional Training Opportunities for Clutch Players. Participation is optional.
Speed, Strength & Agility Program - $250
8-week, 1 hour program. Sessions will focus on flexibility, stability, strength, speed, agility, power, and explosion that translate to all sports baseball & softball.
Sessions stating in October.
Winter Training Program - $275
8-week skills base training is weekly instruction sessions covering defense, hitting, catching throwing & mental approach in a team training session. Winter training is designed to correct skill sets to become a better player that you wish to achieve.
Session starting in January and ending in March.
Additional Information
High School Age Players: Clutch will not hold practices for HS players in their school season. Mid-March to end of May.
Fall Tournament Team
Options will be offered for an additional cost. Fall teams are optional and do not impact your spring/summer team.
Stay to Play Tournaments
Many tournament venues increasingly require teams to “Stay to Play,” which means that teams must select lodging from a designated list of approved hotels and/or make reservations through specific links. Clutch will communicate when a tournament is a Stay to Play tournament and provide further information on booking hotels. Families are expected to follow Stay to Play guidelines or they can be subject to team fines imposed by the tournament host. If a tournament is not Stay to Play, families are welcome to choose lodging of their choice and/or coordinate with team members to book blocks at hotels.
